There’s a new kind of buzz around Hull’s Trinity Market, and it’s coming from the Pagabo Group team. As part of a new initiative to encourage colleagues to take a proper lunch break, get away from their desks, and support local businesses, Pagabo Group staff can now use their company lanyard Monday to Thursday to enjoy lunch from a range of fantastic market vendors.
And it’s safe to say, the initiative is proving a big hit with both staff and traders alike.
Supporting Local, One Lunch at a Time
Dan from popular market stall Falafia shared just how much the initiative has meant to local traders: “This has been absolutely brilliant for us as a business, you guys have done us a real service by including us in your lunchtime initiative. It’s brilliant, especially with the current economic climate.
The difference Pagabo make to the market as a whole is really noticeable. It’s nice to see you guys in the office as nobody else seems to be, you all coming in here for lunch really does create a buzz as you’ve got such a positive energy about you all.”
The Falafia favourite with the Pagabo crowd? A salad bowl or wrap with halloumi — and don’t forget the legendary Pango Sauce.
Or as Dan puts it: “We can’t believe the impact it’s had on the market and the traders. It’s a proper PagaBUZZ!”
Market Mates and Lunchtime Laughs
It’s not just Falafia feeling the love. Over at Trinity Deli, owner Steve, known for his famous Grumpy Steve’s Special Pastrami Sandwich, has noticed the difference too.
“It’s been really positive, we’ve seen more people coming into the market, and we’d say your team is definitely part of the regular crowd now! There’s always been a great buzz in the market thanks to the locals and regulars, but now we’re getting to know some of your team by name. Everyone from Pagabo who visits is always friendly and a pleasure to serve.”
Building Community — One Meal at a Time
What started as a small internal initiative has turned into something much more. A simple but powerful way of connecting people, supporting independent businesses, and bringing energy back into our part of the city centre.
So whether it’s halloumi from Falafia, a pastrami sandwich from Trinity Deli, or something new from one of the many other brilliant traders, we’ll see you down at the market!
