From his passion for marathon running to his role in ensuring our partners are getting the most out of our social value software, Loop, we sat down with Joe Wilson to get to know more about our new Partnership Onboarding Executive.
Hi Joe, could you tell us about your job as Partnership Onboarding Executive?
My role is to help the current users of Pagabo get the most out of the services we provide. I will oversee setting them up and training them on one of the included tools called Loop, which is used to monetise and easily present social value.
Fantastic! What were your initial thoughts of the The 55 group?
The company is innovative and well run, they are very socially aware, and it is great to see a company not only perform well, but also give back and support the community around it. The people here are amazing, with a broad range of skills and such a welcoming atmosphere.
What did you do before joining the company? Any skills that you think will benefit you in your new role?
Prior to my role at Pagabo, I was working in recruitment. I think the communication skills that I have developed in my career as a recruiter are something that will benefit me massively due to the nature of having to speak to different people form a wide range of companies. I also have experience as an onboarder in the past so the transition back into it was not unfamiliar and I have been able to jump into the role quickly.
How about when you aren’t at work, what do you get up to?
Outside of work I enjoy running, having completed two marathons and raising over £2000 for charity. My goal next year is to complete two marathons in one week. I am also a DJ, performing weekly at a bar in Manchester and playing private events for friends and family. Finally, I am a huge rugby fan, supporting Hull FC and I try to go to the games whenever I can.
What part of your role are you looking forward to the most?
I am most looking forward to speaking to different people and really pushing the benefits of the amazing tools we have available and being able to demonstrate the capabilities they have.
To finish off, what do you wish to achieve with your new role?
In my new role, the main thing that I want to achieve is to not only get as many people as possible on to the Loop system, but to get them using it and understanding how useful it really is. If I am getting as many people as possible using the software consistently, I will have achieved my goals.
Thank you for taking the time to talk us and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you at Pagabo.
