The organisers of UKREiiF, the UK’s premier built environment conference, are thrilled to announce the winner of the inaugural “Pitch @ UKREiiF” competition, held on Thursday 23rd May in our Pagabo Pavilion at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
Brittany Harris, Co-Founder of Qualis Flow won the big prize – but due to her impending wedding (the next day!) – Qualis Flow Business Development Manager Ben Hymans accepted the award on Brittany’s behalf.
He said: “It feels fantastic to win – the competition was very strong, there were other fantastic companies presenting very well, but Brittany is extremely good at presenting and she did very well. It’s very exciting to win and I’m so grateful to UKREiiF, Pagabo and Patch for the opportunity. I can’t wait to let Brittany know the result!”
Matt Christie, Director at UKREiiF remarked: “We were delighted to welcome our six finalists for the inaugural ‘Pitch @ UKREiiF’ and congratulate Qualis Flow on winning”.
“With over 50 start-ups and SMEs entering the contest, competition was fierce. We conceptualised the event to fit in with UKREiiF’s ethos of connecting business to opportunity. Working with likeminded organisations – Pagabo Group and Patch – we aimed to give visibility to the next generation of real estate and infrastructure companies.”
The winners were selected based on the uniqueness of their proposition, scalability potential, and alignment with industry trends and challenges. Each winner demonstrated remarkable innovation and a clear vision for addressing the sector’s pressing needs.
Simon Toplass, Group CEO at Pagabo Group, said: “Working with UKREiiF and Patch to make this event a reality is a testament to our shared drive to champion entrepreneurship and innovation in our industry. The popularity of ‘The Pitch’ event at the Pagabo Pavilion, from both audience attendees and entrepreneurs involved, is evidence of how important it is to create platforms for these ideas to flourish. I want to congratulate Brittany on a well-deserved victory and wish them every success on their growth journey moving forward.
“UKREiiF provided an incredible environment to showcase this innovation and we’re proud of what a fantastic event it was. At Pagabo, we’re always looking for ways to drive the industry forward and ‘The Pitch’ is a perfect example of how this can be done in the best way possible.”
Freddie Fforde, Founder of Patch, emphasized the importance of introducing diverse ideas and voices into the real estate sector. “The Pitch can become the key mechanism for introducing new ideas that change the future of real estate as we know it, introducing a more diverse range of ideas and people than we’ve seen before,” he said.
The winners of “The Pitch @ UKREiiF” will receive unparalleled exposure and support, including full-event tickets for UKREiiF 2025, a main programme speaking opportunity, the opportunity to host a pop-up exhibition stand, and access to specialist investors.
